Gallery Talk: Irvin Tepper

Join us at Five Points Museum on Saturday, February 16th at 5:30pm for an opportunity to learn more about Irvin Tepper’s current exhibition, “Evidence of Phantoms Made Real Between Thoughts”, including drawings and porcelain sculptures. Mr. Tepper will discuss his techniques and approaches to his work this intimate and informal event that will allow guests to ask questions and speak with the artist.
Victoria Art Car Weekend Preview
Mr. Tepper will also show previously exhibited photographs featuring art cars and low-riders as a preview to our upcoming Victoria Art Car Parade and exhibition in April. All those interested in the parade, including volunteers and artists, are invited to learn more about the event.
Irvin Tepper was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Working as a sculptor, draftsman, and photographer, he has had more than 20 solo exhibitions in museums and galleries across the United States, including Victoria.
His photographs of Lowriders and Art Cars have been exhibited at The Nave Museum and at Five Points Museum of Contemporary Art over the past decade, and he frequently visits the South Texas area.
There will be light refreshments and a performance from guitarist Nolan Derosia before and after the talk, with Mr. Tepper and museum staff on hand to answer questions.
